Big on Bloor Festival - Toronto, July 19-20, 2025
What is Big on Bloor? Big on Bloor Festival is an annual summer street festival in Toronto Ontario held between Dufferin St. to Landsowne in the heart of Toronto. The festival seeks to promote disenfranchised artists and small businesses in Toronto, and and specifically the Bloordale area representing the intersection of Bloor and Lansdowne. The festival features public installations, murals, window displays, concerts, art workshops and street vendors in a safe and family-friendly environment. |
Art on Deck at Big On Bloor, 2025 We were extremely excited to join the Big on Bloor Festival for the second year in a row. It is a well-organized event with friendly staff and locals. The neighborhood is very fun and diverse with upscale cafes and bakeries to local nightclubs and bars. We were there in full force to help spread our love of skateboarding and art. |
Art on Deck with Moving Comic Factory & Tekty Vince Vaitiekunas of Moving Comic Factory generously helped out with the setup. As our mission to help support artists, we released MCF's Godzilla design in a limited edition run of only 10 pieces - 5x 8.0" and 5x 8.25" versions. . The decks were manufactured in Manitoba Canada, by Scam Skates. This year Vince did some custom airbrushed grip tapes for the event which really added a vibrant kick to the display and setup. We also appreciated MCF's hand-painted flames on our custom deck display boxes. Tekty, another Canadian Graphic Artist from Ontario, was also featured this year with his "Cat Scratcher" design, also manufactured and printed in Manitoba by Scam Skate in a limited edition run of 10 pieces. Both designs are super limited and represent amazing Canadian talent. Vince of MCF was proud to show off his love of Godzilla with his stunning iridescent graphic. ![]() |
Art on Deck Custom Complete Skateboards Our mission is to help increase the appreciation and awareness of skateboarding while exposing smaller independent brands and artists to new audiences. We seek to keep things affordable for customers, while offering quality professional grade products. Building custom skateboards for beginners or more experienced customers is really enjoyable especially getting to see how happy people are with the way their build turned out. Here are a few examples of custom complete skateboards we had the pleasure of assembling. The first one below is a JART Apocalypse Mini with Softer 83A Big Foot Wheels in a bright red, and Venture Trucks. This is an amazing setup for a first time rider, and looks so awesome.
![]() Another custom complete setup we did was a CODA Bandana board with Big Foot Neen Williams wheels, and Silver Trucks with red baseplates. The baseplates and wheels both matched the red deck which made this complete really stand out.

Vince Aleksandravicius This year we were contacted by a Canadian Artist from the beautiful province of British Columbia. Vince asked to collaborate on something, so we offered to send him a blank deck to paint on, and send it back to us for display at the festival. It turned out great! Check out Vince's design below: |
Closing Remarks Big on Bloor was an extremely fun time to engage with this vibrant west-end Toronto community, and share our love of skateboarding and art. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible, and we hope to see you again in 2026! |
