07/2025 - KSM Skatepark Grand Opening

What is KSM?

A very important skatepark and community Hub which has been around for decades, needed a massive revitilization effort to get the park up to modern standards, and built to last into the future. We were asked by the Port Hardy Recreation Centre if we were interested in being an official sponsor for the grand opening, by donating some skateboarding products.  We were more than thrilled to oblige and sent a shipment of decks designed by Canadian artists Gloria Kagawa and Sandy Richter,  and manufactured by Control MFG in Quebec, Canada. We also donated a few Dragon decks by one of our favorite skaters all time - Julio De La Cruz. his signature Dragon deck is a nod to the famous Steve Caballero dragon design. We were incredibly thrilled to see them in the hands of local kids and a few adults too! 

Being a business located in Ontario, it was not possible financially to travel to BC for the event, but it was nonetheless great to be a part of this celebration of skateboarding achievements. We hope our contribution had an impact on the local skate scene. What an honor it was to have our artist collaboration skateboard decks on display in this lovely community, and to be a part of it from across the country. .

We really appreciated the opportunity to be a part of the growth of skateboarding in Canada. We wish only the best for the Port Hardy Recreation Centre and the KSM skatepark for years to come.
