What is the New Hamburg Fall Fair?

The New Hamburg Fall Fair is an annual agricultural fair in New Hamburg Ontario, a south-central town nestled half-way between Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford. The town gets together every year to help recognized and educate the public about agricultural and rural affairs in a family-friendly way. The Fair is run by the Wilmot Agricultural Society, a non-profit charitable organization and supports local businesses.

This was our first time at the New Hamburg Fall Fair, and we weren't sure what to expect. Since the fair is geared towards agricultural activities, such as tractor pulls, and derby's, we were not sure if the theme of skateboarding would be welcomed, or a good fit. As it turned out, the organizers and staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, and there was no problem for us fitting in with other vendors in a 'vendor village' area. There was a huge diversity of vendors from candlemakers, to arts and craft retailers, and face-painting professionals.  We were delighted to be a part of the event, and it turned out to be a really fun and engaging experience. 

 

Closing Comments

New Hamburg is a very friendly town with a strong and proud community presence. Everyone involved from the organizers, the attendees, fellow vendors, to the workers managing the rides - was really easygoing and welcoming.  We would not hesitate to come back again in future.
